Though its vocabulary is also hugely influenced by Old Norman French and Latin, as well as by North Germanic Language. Over 1,400 years, we have seen a tremendous change in the development of the English Language. Early Modern English began in the late 15th century with the development of the Printing press. In the 17th century, Modern English began to spread around the world during the British colonial rule and with the development of the United States. Many countries like India and Africa started seeing the birth of Indian writings in English.
People started printing different books in English and began to learn the English language. In the late ’90s, as decolonization proceeded countries began to use the English language for official works the reason being it was widely spoken all around the globe.
